EZ Band Plan
If, like me, as a Technician and a General licensee I had a hard time remembering what bands I was allowed on, what frequencies, and what group of frequencies within a band are allocated for what use. Even as an Extra I can’t easily remember what frequencies are allocated for what use. And the band plans I found available didn’t make that any easier.
I scavaged the internet and took information from several locations (mostly from the ARRL layout). I then compiled that information into what would work for me which I call my “EZ Band Plan”. Using the ARRL layout, I grouped each band, who was allowed, and what frequencies. I then listed the frequencies and the allocated use, spaced for easy lookup. The 3300-3500 MHz group was the hardiest to follow but since I wasn’t involved with that band it didn’t matter for my use.
It made for a long listing, 14 pages, but by printing on both sides I got them in 7. If this might be helpful for you, it can be viewed and downloaded here.
Since I can’t keep all this in my limited brain as the more experienced amateurs do, I keep this in a 3-ring binder with this and such things as Q Codes and International Call Signs that I can refer to as needed while on the air.
